Your place in this

Sales, install, R&D, support. What a great first month at Onwords looks like.

You do not join a title. You join a house being born.

Onwords is about 94 people: Coimbatore HQ, teams in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad. Seven years, 6,782+ gates, 400+ smart homes. Your first month decides whether you become one of us. Here is the honest map.

Four doors in

Most people enter through sales, installation, R&D, or support. Marketing and operations sit around them. Whatever grows, the house always needs these four.

Four paths from one welcome: sales, install, R&D, support

Sales

A lead is a phone number with a little hope in it. A visit is a family who let you in. An advance is trust converted to rupees.

Telecallers book the visit: fast, warm, clear. Nobody sells a 40-device villa on the first ring; you earn the door. PRs read the house and the customer, demo the Tuesday, quote the four tiers, and stay until the advance is real. Sales managers keep the funnel honest: leads called, visits done, advances collected.

If you like people, and you can hear the real no hiding under a polite no, this is your door.

Installation

This is the craft the family remembers for years.

You survey. You carry the right parts. You kill power before touching a live plate. You seat a module clean, pair it, and name it in human words: "Amma bedroom fan," never "switch 4." You dress the cables, sweep the dust, walk the family through Good Night, and photograph the board for our records.

A messy install kills a perfect sale. A clean install sells the next house on the same street.

R&D

R&D builds what sales can promise.

Modules, firmware, Living Home OS, the app, Iniyal's learning, gate controllers, sensors that survive Indian heat. You will write, test, flash, and break things on purpose, then make them safe. The wall switch always works. An update must never brick a family at 11 pm.

If you like first principles and can stay calm inside a hard bug, this is your door.

Support

Support is the relationship after the cake is cut.

A tile is dead, a device offline, a guest code refusing to expire. The family is not a ticket number; they are the same people who trusted us at their gate. You speak calm, run the simple checks, escalate with facts, and never invent a promise operations cannot keep.

Great support turns one home into three referrals. Weak support turns one home into a warning on a WhatsApp group.

A great first month

Week 1. Finish this course. Learn the four tiers by heart, the two gate types, our four cities. Shadow one call or one site. Take notes in the family's language, not ours.

Week 2. Own one small loop: ten follow-up calls, one board dressing, one test flash, or five support tickets with a buddy. Show up on time. Write down what you did.

Week 3. Run the loop without a shadow. Ask for the hardest objection. Ask why a motion sensor on a sofa failed. Open the next course your track unlocks.

Week 4. Bring one improvement: a cleaner device-name list, a sharper first-call opening, a board photo you are proud of. We promote people who make the house better, not people who wait for a title.

Cross your first real target and you are one of us. After that, this is a comfortable company. We take care of our own.

Walk in tomorrow

You know what a Living Home is. You know the devices, how they talk, the brain, the four tiers, and one full Tuesday. If you are a candidate, that is enough to talk to us like a grown-up.

I am Iniyal. The family meets me in the house. You met me here first.

Remember: Pick a door. Own one loop. Make the house better.

Check yourself

Make it stick.
